As George Wynn looked forward to retirement after 21 years as a business professor at James Madison University, WOOD CREATIONS was developed. Although he was a fair woodworker in his own right, a number of years before his retirement, George began enrolling in woodworking/furniture making classes. These classes were week long classes during the summer and weekend classes in the spring and fall.
    George has studied chair making at Country Workshops in Marshall NC under Drew Langsner and “Practical Woodworking” with J. D. Lohr of Schenksville PA. More recently, he has concentrated his outside studies at the Lonnie Bird School of Fine Woodworking in Dandridge TN. Classes completed under the tutelage of Lonnie Bird are Woodworking Essentials, Fundamentals of Joinery, Eighteenth Century Carving and Blanket Chest Construction.
